Vikas's Flowers An IT Project Manager by profession, I started taking pictures after purchasing my first SLR camera in 1998, when I was working in Singapore. It was a Nikon FE10--a wonderful camera to learn on. For 3 years, I played around with it, learning certain fundamentals along the way. In 2001, after moving to Japan, I bought an F100 and met Andy Barker who introduced me to the world of creative photography.
Then in 2003, I was reassigned to Pennsylvania in the US and joined a local camera club there. This gave me the opportunity to look at many people's work and have them view mine. Monthly critiques and competitions have been very helpful. As I've learned more, my love of photography has grown. My favorite subjects are children, candid street scenes, city and landscapes, and you guessed it, flowers.
